Day 1 of the Micro - Alps Tour | Kochl Bhf-Sonnenspitze

Quite a thrill - Our unplanned night hike

But to be honest, it's getting dark so fast... we didn't expect that. Quite irresponsible. luckily our best friend already knew the way and our 3 dogs are great at finding the way.

The trip to Kochel by car took about 2 hours. As you can see from the photo of the Kochelsee, the sun has already set on arrival. Now we had to hurry up the road, in time & unharmed!

Well. We were definitely unharmed and in time! At least, if you stretch the term "in time" a bit (in this case night...). After we pitched the tents and Constantin was cooking as usual with the Trangia (there was mashed potatoes + sausages + fried vegetables), we enjoyed the wonderful night atmosphere and the peace that the place brings with it.

Day 2 of the Mikro - Alps Tour | Sonnenspitze-Jochberg-Walchensee

What a great start to the day!! This is how a hiking tour has to start!

You wake up with the sun, breathe pure and fresh mountain and forest air, start the cooker and brew a delicious coffee.

The silence was still omnipresent, accompanied by dog taps and our quiet slurping. In contrast to the night, the crunching of the two creaking trees was no longer heard. That was mega - creepy!

On the first two pictures you can clearly see the time difference - the first picture was taken at 7 o'clock, the second at half past nine. Fantastic how the colours of the landscape change at sunrise!

With a heavy heart we separated from the small plateau to make our way to the Jochberg. A few small snow spots here and there. You could see that nature is slowly awakening to spring.

The Jochberg was not too crowded on this day - we were "relatively" early up (about 11 o'clock). The view of the Alps is magnificent - it's definitely worth it to have hiked there once!

After the small lunch (normal snacks + of course coffee and tea) the descent towards Walchensee began. The gravel is not without it.

Soon we regretted that we didn't take the walking sticks with us. Generally our equipment was still a little rare at the time of this tour. After that we immediately bought new hiking backpacks (big ones from Osprey) and are very satisfied with them! We were tested on the next tour and found to be awesome and comfortable! :)

Arrived at the Walchensee we walked along the road to Urfeld and after a short stop we drove by bus along the Kesselbergstraße towards Kochel to our car.
