Our little mountain tour in Bavaria | Day 1 | Osterhofen - half way to Lake Soinsee

Better equipped and a little prepared this time! And even found a place to sleep before sunset. It was planned that we would stay much further up, but the majority of our small group didn't play along conditionally.

From Osterhofen it went comfortably upwards. After a few hours we discovered an abandoned & relatively large hut, which offered us a light shelter. Constantin cooked with the Trangia again in the night, as you can see on the picture with headlamp and delicious curry noodles with zucchini and mushrooms.

Our little mountain tour in Bavaria | day 2 | hut - Soinsee - Spitzingsee

Waking up in foggy land... Early in the morning, when the dew is still hanging on the leaves... This is one of the characteristics that we love about the Alps, or mountain ranges in general - the wall of fog in the early morning. Fresh mountain air + small breakfast! The fountain at the hut fed drinkable water. After we had dismantled everything and of course left everything clean, we made our way to our first station: The Soinsee.

We didn't know if the ascent to the mountain pastures had already taken place. With dogs and cows there are unfortunately not so sparkling experience reports. It turned out, however, that at the time we were up there were no cows grazing in the area. Further up and past the Rotwand (at the foot of the Rotwand we had a delicious lunch with coffee and sweet refreshments) we went through the fantastic mountain landscape later past a much visited alpine hut towards Spitzingsee.

From there we took the bus back to Osterhofen. The weather was great all the time and the ascent was a lot of fun!
